Police have revealed the robbery incident at Maruti showroom by arresting four miscreants in two encounters that took place on January 31. Two miscreants were shot in the legs by the police. The police have recovered three cars, spare parts worth Rs 10 lakh, pistols and cartridges from the accused.
On January 24, dacoits raided the Maruti showroom Dev Motors on Aligarh Road in Kotwali Hathras Gate area, took the security personnel hostage, beat them up and took away goods worth lakhs of rupees, including two cars that had come for service. The miscreants who came to commit the crime had come in a police registered car, the police has recovered that too.
SP Nipun Aggarwal said that the police arrived on information and tried to stop some suspects near Amarpur Ghana. During this he opened fire on the police. In retaliatory firing, one of the accused, Amit, resident of Ainhan police station, Hathras Junction, got shot. He and his two companions, Rahul, resident of Tipras police station, Hathras Gate and Madhav Dubey, resident of Old Bus Stand, Baldev district, Mathura, were arrested by the police. Amit was treated in the district hospital. During this time, Salman and Danish, residents of Delhi, fled away.
The police, who were searching for the absconding accused, had an encounter with them near Kindauli Canal late in the evening of 31 January. In this, one of the accused, Danish resident Jahangirpuri, got injured after being shot by Delhi Police. The police brought him to the district hospital for treatment. Delhi Police is searching for Salman. Police have recovered the Baleno car used in the incident, the looted Ertiga and Brezza cars, ten bags of car spare parts, three pistols, six cartridges and four shells.
